The United Nations Security Council did not adopt a draft resolution seeking to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to commercial shipping.

There were 11 votes in favor, 2 votes against and 2 abstentions.

Russia and China both voted against the resolution. The nations are permanent members of the security council and hold veto power, meaning the resolution will not be adopted.
