A dead woman was discovered floating in the Long Island Sound on Monday evening, police said.
Cops responded to Lloyd Harbor Road in Lloyd Harbor after receiving a 911 call about a body spotted bobbing in the sound at 7:45 p.m, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.
The body of the adult woman was then recovered by authorities, police said.
The identity of the woman and her cause of death are pending confirmation by the Office
of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner, cops added.
Suffolk County Homicide Squad detectives are now investigating the incident.
